Backward Classes Welfare Department of Govt. of Telangana established a new Society in the name of MAHATMA JYOTIBA PHULE TELANGANA BACKWARD CLASSES WELFARE RESIDENTIAL EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS SOCIETY (MJPTBCWREIS) in the year 2012 with a view to bring the Backward Classes educationally on par with other developed communities and to achieve a just and egalitarian Society. In perseverance of the goal, MJPTBCWREIS has established two Agricultural Colleges with B.Sc. (Hons) Agriculture, degree program for Women, who are at below poverty line (BPL) at Wanaparthy and Karimnagar from the AY 2022-23 with a intake of 120 students at each college. Both these colleges are affiliated to Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University, Hyderabad (PJTSAU).
